This revelation arrives on the back end of the actor’s legal problems. According to reports, Ezra was arrested on the grounds of disorderly conduct and harassment after lashing out at a bar in Hilo, Hawaii.
While he was subsequently released on bail, the very fact of the matter is that the trouble did not stop there. The two victims in question, who were a couple, had allegedly filed a restraining order against the actor. And looking back, they had every reason to do so.
In an official statement by the Hawaii Police Department, a representative said: “Miller began yelling obscenities and, at one point, grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke (disorderly conduct offense) and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts (harassment offense).”
Naturally, Ezra’s role in ‘The Flash’ movie which is set to come out in 2023 has been called into question. Further reports stress that the producers had a meeting after which it was agreed Ezra’s projects would stop for the time being.
Not only was this because of his legal issues, but it is also claimed that the actor was not in the right frame of mind. A source said: “[He had] frequent meltdowns. Ezra would get a thought in [the] head and say, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing.”
Despite this potentially impacting Ezra’s career for good, the fans were fully behind the idea of removing him from the franchise. People were of the view that his reputation had been tarnished by what he had done.
And by allowing the actor to continue to appear in the DC movies, it would inadvertently be a slap in the face to all those that had suffered as a result of his actions. One person wrote: “Ezra Miller was one of the worst casting choices in history.”
