‘Counting On’s Jeremiah Duggar is married, tying the knot on Saturday, March 26, at First Baptist Church in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
After all the terrible Duggar headlines that have been cropping up lately (here’s looking at you, Josh), it’s nice to hear something positive about the ever-expanding clan, though fans were hoping it might be a different Duggar marrying a Wissman!
‘Counting On’: Jeremiah Duggar Married After A 3 Month Engagement
26-year-old Hannah Wissman, 23-year-old Jeremiah’s bride is the sister of Stephen Wissman, long rumored to be courting Jana Duggar, the “old Maid” (or independent and free-thinking, depending on your point of view) of the devout independent Baptist family.
Though it was once thought Stephen and Jana were headed down the aisle, it was Jeremiah and Hannah who exchanged vows, who were only engaged three months ago.
“Today was a perfect day, as we stood before our family and friends and committed our lives to each other,” the happy couple told Us Magazine. “It was such a beautiful culmination of so many prayers, dreams & desires! As we’ve seen God’s gracious hand in bringing our lives together, we are excited to see how He will continue to direct our paths. We are looking forward to sharing our married journey with you. Thank you for sharing our joy!”
In true Duggar tradition, Hannah wore a chaste wedding gown by Renee’s Bridal, who has been designing wedding dresses for all the family of young brides for years.
The pair have not announced yet if they will settle close to Jeremiah’s family in Arkansas or live together in Hannah’s native Nebraska, or move somewhere different altogether.
Jeremiah may want to stay close to twin Jedediah who married Katey Nakatsu last year. Their first child will be born any day now (thank goodness Katey didn’t go into labor at the wedding!)
Congratulations Jeremiah and Hannah- and congrats to Jana and Stephen who are now related…ish.
