Trevor Noah has spoken out in the aftermath of Kanye West’s ban from the Grammys.

Trevor Noah Denies Contributing To Kanye West Being Canceled From The Grammys-‘I Said Counsel Kanye Not Cancel’

The rapper was prevented from performing at the ceremony, which arrived on the back end of him directing a racial slur towards Trevor. And given that the latter was hosting the Grammys, the decision was hardly a surprise due to the tensions his presence would have created.

And yet, Trevor admitted that this was never his intention. In a post to his followers on Twitter, he said: “I said counsel Kanye not cancel Kanye.” Having said that, though, this decision to cancel Kanye was a long-time coming.

He had been warned prior to this after a petition went viral in which fans demanded that the rapper be removed from headlining at Coachella 2022. As the petition gained the requisite number of signatures, it certainly demonstrated that there was a public appetite to see him being canceled.

Nevertheless, there is no denying that Trevor may have played a part in Kanye getting canceled, whether that was intentional or not. He was very vocal about the way in which Kanye was treating his ex Kim Kardashian. So much so that he compared his behavior to that of harassment.

And he let the world know in no uncertain terms that Kanye was out of order. In a statement at the time, he remarked: “What we’re seeing is one of the most powerful, one of the richest women in the world, unable to get her ex to stop texting her, to stop chasing after her, to stop harassing her.”

In reality, the only person that can be blamed is Kanye himself. He has failed to learn from his previous mistakes, and there had to come a point where the public had enough. Now that this time has arrived, the rapper will need to consider his conduct carefully knowing that his ‘Donda 2’ album is in the pipeline.

If he continues to receive further negative publicity, then who knows what the ramifications for his career could be. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
