Elton John has avoided a major tragedy after reports indicated that his private jet had experienced hydraulic failure.
Elton John Avoids A Major Scare After His Private Jet Had To Undertake An Emergency Landing
According to reports, the musician was traveling to the US from the UK after being set to perform at none other than Madison Square Gardens. But when it became clear that all was not well on board, there was a natural apprehension.
As a result, the plane had to apparently be diverted from its course, before Farnborough Airport made sure that the airway was clear which enabled the airport staff to assist in an emergency landing.
Despite the obvious apprehension that the musician was feeling, all turned out well. A witness, who managed to see the events first-hand, had this to say: “The jet was buffeted and couldn’t land. It was horrible to see.
“The plane was being buffeted and couldn’t make it. The aircraft’s nose was far too vertical. The plane was descending and was halfway along the runway when it gave up trying to hit the tarmac.
“It soared back in the air.” Once everything turned out fine, Elton went ahead with the performance. And by the looks of it, the performance went ahead without any problems. And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media.
A large proportion of people praised Elton for managing to put the ordeal behind him. Not only that, but reports indicated that Elton went ahead with the performance without mentioning what he had been through.
One person wrote: “You outdid yourself #RocketMan Amaaazzzing show!!! God bless you on the rest of your tour. 🙏🏻#EltonJohn.”
While another person stated: “Proof his voice is still amazing and he is the greatest showman on earth #EltonJohn #msg.”
Elton should be commended for the courage that he has shown. There was no obligation on him to go ahead with the performance.
But by managing to put his difficulties to one side, he gave the fans a show to remember, especially at a time when the pandemic has disrupted musical concerts of late. And that is the most important thing to remember going forward.
