Prince Harry’s popularity is allegedly decreasing rapidly, as we speak, following his departure from the Royal family in 2020.
Royal Expert Claims That Prince Harry’s Popularity Is Decreasing-‘William Is Respected, Harry Is Pitied’
That is according to Royal commentator George Grant. George’s comments come on the back end of criticism that Harry has only been focusing on how he has been hard done by, rather than trying to forge an independent lifestyle.
And by way of comparison, George sought to distinguish the behaviour between Harry and his elder brother, Prince William, as a way to demonstrate their competing responses to Harry’s exit.
William has taken on more of a leadership role, while Harry’s Oprah Winfrey interview coupled with the fact that he is set to have a memoir come out this year, has seen his focus shift on being critical of the monarchy.
And that has not left George pleased. In an interview on ‘Good Morning Britain’ he said: “Harry hasn’t done anything besides moaning about how everyone’s to blame for his unhappiness.
“Prince William is proving himself as a path-breaking visionary in the kind of work he’s doing. William has global stature.”
Nevertheless, it is important to bear in mind the work that Harry has been doing in order to give back to the community. His recent venture as a Chief Impact Officer for ‘BetterUp’ where he has spoken on the importance of mental health should also be recognised.
Although he could be criticised for not understanding the issues that he is preaching about, as demonstrated by his financial security, this criticism could equally be directed towards any member of the Royal family.
And yet, the response by the public backed up what George was saying. According to a poll conducted by JL Partners, over 50 percent of people felt that Harry and Meghan Markle had not gone out of their way to support Queen Elizabeth II.
In response, one user remarked: “Perfectly explained [George’s comments]. William is respected. Harry is pitied.”
Public opinion may not be on Harry’s side, but as long as he continues to be happy in his life, then that is the most important thing going forward. So there you have it folks. What do you think?
