‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers find that audiences have being seeing a lot more of Forrester Creations C.O.O, Carter Walton lately with his messy love life taking center stage over the past many months. Is it a coincidence that Carter portrayer, Lawrence St. Victor has become part of the B&B writing team?
St. Victor swears the two have no correlation. “I have to be an unbiased storyteller. I don’t get to have Carter do things just because I think it’d be nice,” he told Soap Opera Digest. “But the writing part is fun because I get to play everybody on the show in my head.”

Speaking of that head of his, he admits it’s getting awfully crowded in there with learning lines for himself and writing lines for others. “…but it’s a great party, man,” he laughed. “It’s an awesome place to be in.”
St. Victor also explained that it is difficult to remember which storylines he is meant to be talking about in interviews. “It is a weird head spin. I know the script that I’m writing, which is behind the story that’s coming, but then I’m acting in the story that’s behind all of that, and then I’m watching the air show that’s behind all of that!”
Being privy to what’s ahead can also get confusing when acting the role of Carter, with St. Victor often having to stop to ask himself, “Wait, Carter doesn’t know this yet,” before he reacts to another character speaking with him.
And talking of other characters- yes, the portrayers do come to him now he is a part of the writing team with ideas on the direction their characters could go. But St. Victor has an easy way to get out of any uncomfortable situation, telling his co-stars, “ ‘This is above my pay grade. I don’t make decisions like these.’ Brad is the one who is doing the heavy lifting here.”
One thing the actor-turned-writer does find very fulfilling is seeing the actors and directors making television magic his scripts. “Life gets breathed into it. The director has their point of view and the actors have their points of view, and seeing how they interpret your words, I get to see that in real-time, before editing, before music,” he gushed “Seeing it on TV is really cool but seeing them work through it is a gift.”
