In a surprise move, Nick Jonas and wife of 3 years, Priyanka Chopra have announced the arrival of a bouncing baby girl.
The 29 year Jonas Brother and the 39 year old Quantico star welcomed their first child via surrogate, making the announcement on Friday via social media.
A joint statement from the couple-turned-family-of-three shared no photos, only the succinct birth announcement: “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed and baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much❤️.”
Nick’s famous brothers and band mates Kevin and Joe are said to be extremely excited for their little bro. Nick and Priyanka’s baby girl has three cousins- Alena, Valentina, and Willa.

Alena, 7 and Valentina, 5 belong to Kevin and wife Danielle Jonas. The pair wed in 2009. Willa was born to Joe and wife, Game of Thrones actress, Sophie Turner in 2020. Joe and Sophie tied the knot in 2019.

Priyanka had hinted at the upcoming addition to the family earlier this month when speaking to Vanity Fair. “[Kids] are a big part of our desire for the future. By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens,” she told the magazine, adding that, despite their hectic schedules, she and her husband were “not too busy to practice.”
The couple, who have faced divorce rumors since December when Priyanka removed the ‘Jonas’ from her name on social media (she also removed the Chopra, but no one seemed to care about that), have told friends they definitely do not want to stop at one child. Priyanka corroborated this when speaking with The Sunday Times in January 2021, saying, “I do want children, as many as I can have. [Enough for] a cricket team? I’m not so sure.”
No name for the little one has been revealed at time of writing, but during one interview when asked about the prospect of creating a family, Nick noted that his mother-in-law would surely “want to weigh in” on her grandchild’s name. “And my family would want to weigh in too,” he added.
Looks like we’ll have to wait and see what the Jonases/Chopras can agree on!
