Kanye West has seemingly fired shots at his ex Kim Kardashian after he revealed that he does not want his children to have a TikTok account.
Kanye West Shades Kim Kardashian By Stating He Does Not Want His Children To Have A TikTok Account
This clearly flies in the face of the policy that Kim has been implementing, given that she and her daughter North recently set up a joint TikTok account.
The decision divided the fanbase, as a certain subset of people felt that it was too young for children to join social media, meanwhile, others praised Kim on the grounds that she was becoming more relatable to the public by opening up about her family more.
But things did not go smoothly initially, as North had embarrassedly decided to livestream her mother without her being aware which resulted in the reality TV star being caught off guard.
And it is this danger of exposing children to the volatility of social media that Kanye wants to avoid. In an interview with ‘Hollywood Unlocked,’ Kanye said: “My children ain’t going to be on TikTok without my permission.”
On closer inspection, Kanye does have a point. In the aftermath of North’s live streaming antics, Scott Disick’s son Mason even had a few words to say about it all.
Given that Mason is 12-years-old and very much close to North’s age, even he could see the dangers of children emerging on social media if they were not supervised.
And his concerns would go on to be recognised by Kim, who thanked Mason for expressing concern. This would firmly suggest that Kanye does have sufficient ground to stand on, as even a 12-year-old could see how this may end in tears.
In a statement at the time, Mason remarked the following: “Hi. I don’t wanna disrespect North but I don’t think she should do the lives unless someone is with her because people are always screen recording.”
This is an issue that Kim and Kanye need to discuss behind closed doors. After all, discussing this in public is only going to alienate the two further and create a situation where there is less likelihood of coming towards an agreement.
