Kanye West is being investigated by police after allegedly punching a fan who was seeking an autograph from the singer. This all went down in the wee hours of Thursday morning in downtown Los Angeles.
Not only did TMZ manage to get their hands on an image of the fan laid out on the pavement, they also showed footage of Ye raging out at his “people” as he left the supposedly battered man on the pavement.
Kanye West Under Investigation for Assault
As cameras role, Kanye can be heard screaming, “get away from me” at a woman doing her utmost to calm the Donda creator down. As Kanye storms off in a fit of absolute rage, the woman can be heard imploring, “I am your family.”
TMZ learned that the woman is in fact, Kayne’s cousin.
Witness reported that the man, laid out on the pavement was struck twice by the Yeezy designer, once in the head and a second time in the neck. Apparently Kanye had asked the small group of people standing outside outside the Soho Warehouse to not take photos and expressed that none of them could understand what he is going through.
The group obliged with the request and one bystander commiserated with the celeb, saying that everyone goes through family issues.
That was seemingly the “button” and Ye lashed out with his fists. Witnesses say the man who was struck hit his head on the pavement when he went down.
As the video rolls on, and Kanye continues to rage out, a man closer to the camera is heard asking “Why did he just do that? What is wrong with him?” Though the alleged victim is seen moving, it doesn’t appear to be him speaking off camera and who asks just before the video ends, “Can you please call the cops?”
Another video, taken on a hidden camera shows Kanye later on Thursday still flipping the heck out. It looks like it is the same two women- his cousin and another of “his people” again trying to calm him. They are not succeeding.
It is said the alleged assault victim refused medical treatment at the scene, but later got examined at urgent care. The LAPD is reportedly now investigating Kanye for battery.
