Singer Demi Lovato reportedly completed another period in rehab just last year.
Sources Confirm That Demi Lovato Went Into Rehab Last Year-‘Demi Is Committed’
The singer’s personal problems have been well documented, as shown by the fact that she was hospitalised in 2018 following a drug overdose which could have taken her life. Although she managed to survive, the very fact of the matter is that the incident never left her feeling the same.
And so it showed, as reports indicated that she did suffer from brain damage as well as the fact that she has to continue monitoring her health over dangers of a relapse.
A source confirmed as much: “Demi is committed to their well-being, and throughout their life, they plan to do regular check-ins to make sure they are putting themselves first.”
One the reasons why Demi may have decided to go back into rehab was because of her failure to tackle the issue the first time around. Following her near death in 2018, Demi admitted that she wanted to adopt a policy of Californian sobriety.
In this way, she would continue to dabble in alcohol and drugs but do so on the basis of moderation. At the time, this received a significant amount of backlash as a certain subset of people felt that it was merely an attempt to cover over her addiction.
And those fears came true when Demi decided that she could no longer continue in this light. In a prior post on social media, she remarked: “I no longer support my ‘California sober’ ways. Sober sober is the only way to be.”
Nevertheless, the star does not regret any moment of what has happened to her. These experiences have only gone on to develop her personality and give her further strength in order to overcome any obstacles that may come her way.
And by setting an example of strength, her story will go on to inspire others who may be going through similar issues.
Demi’s following comments confirmed as much: “Everything had to happen in order for me to learn the lessons that I learned…but I don’t regret anything.”
