Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly set to offer an olive branch to Queen Elizabeth II by making sure that they will not reveal any damaging information about her in Harry’s upcoming memoir set to be released next year.
Reports Indicate That Prince Harry ‘Won’t Disgrace’ Queen Elizabeth II In His Memoir
That is according to sources. It is no surprise that the Royal family has been in trepidation at what Harry could reveal, especially when we look at his track record with his Oprah Winfrey interview.
He and Meghan had shockingly revealed that there were concerns about their son Archie’s skin colour expressed by a member within the Royal family.
And given that reports indicated that such an individual was Prince Charles, there has already been a heightened worry that this memoir could damage Charles’ claim to the throne.
And yet, sources believe that Harry will keep the Queen out of the firing line. A source remarked: “There are some [experts] who still cling to the hope that Harry won’t disgrace his grandmother [in his upcoming book].
“Some of the fans speculate that the father-of-two will pay respect to the 95-year-old in his upcoming memoir to keep the doors of his return to the Royal Family open.”
If these comments are taken to be true, then it is very understandable for the following reasons. First of all, the Queen is 95-years-old.
Therefore, regardless of what Harry decides to say, it is not going to do as much damage especially since her time as a monarch will most likely be over very soon.
Secondly, if Harry had decided to reveal something negative about the Queen, then there is a very high chance that he is going to receive extreme backlash from the media.
This is true in light of what the Queen has been through recently including the death of her husband Prince Philip as well as her numerous health problems.
With so much anticipation brewing over what Harry is going to disclose, the release of the memoir cannot come soon enough. Until that time comes, the only thing we can do is speculate on what it might actually say.
