Just this week, actress Alicia Witt has been through quite a devastating loss. She is currently mourning her parents, who were found dead in their home in Massachusetts on Monday. The couple, Robert Witt, who was 87, and Diane Witt, who was 75, were found by police. Alicia hasn’t heard anything from her parents in a few days and she had asked one of her relatives to do a welfare check on them to make sure that everything was ok at the house.

When Alicia asked her relative to check on her parents, she didn’t know what she was in for when they got back to her. She told fans, “After not hearing back from my parents for several days, I reached out to a cousin who lives close to my parents to check on them. Sadly, the outcome was unimaginable. I ask for some privacy at this time to grieve and to wrap my head around this turn of events, and this surreal loss.”

The police have yet to confirm how the Witt’s died, but there are no signs of trauma or foul play from what they have seen so far. There has been no suspicious activity in their area and the family is just shocked about this and wants to know more of what happened to them.
The police did mention that the Witt family were having some troubles with their furnace and had been using just small space heaters around their home. The firefighters that we called to the scene did not see any signs of carbon monoxide though.
One of the neighbors told police that she never really saw the couple outside the home and she did think that they had been ill for some time. This could explain their deaths, but there are plenty of tests still being done on the couple and on their home.
This neighbor also said that there were multiple neighbors that asked them to help them with the yard work and just tidying up around their house and they refused any help from their neighbors. This is a fact that seems a little odd too.
We will keep an eye on this case and we hope that police and forensics experts can find out what happened so the family can get some closure. Our thoughts are with the family at this tough time and during the holidays as well.
