Hey girl, we know how you feel. Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence said she felt like a “radio contest winner” after meeting chart topper Ariana Grande. The singer was featured in the film Don’t Look Up, which Jennifer stars in, as part of a music “power couple” in which she plays pop star Riley Bina alongside rapper Kid Cudi (real name Scott Mescudi), who stars as DJ Chello. Here’s what she has to say.
The movie, directed by The Big Short filmmaker Adam McKay, stars J.Law as astronomy student Kate Dibiasky, alongside professor Dr Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) as the pair discover a comet is heading directly towards Earth.

Speaking at a press conference for the film, Lawrence said: “I mean, I’m a huge fan of her music and Scott’s… I just felt like a radio contest winner. I just didn’t know how to talk to her. So I just, you know, did my best.”
Meanwhile, the actress also says that it was “hell” working with Leonardo di Caprio, but it’s not as bad as it sounds. However, she did speak about the difficulties of producing a film while living in an isolated bubble due to Covid-19 restrictions imposed by the authorities which forced her to share a bathroom with her co-stars. She says her most difficult scene she filmed with Leonardo DiCaprio was while driving to a particular location.
Jennifer says that both Leo and their co-star Timothee Chalamet were very excited about finally leaving their homes after lockdown and that while in the car, Leo was playing one bad song after another.
“It was the most annoying day in my life,” Jennifer exclaimed, saying that working with her co-stars on that scene was “hell.”
