As much as he tried to distance himself from the UK and all things associated with the royal family, he’ll always be returning home for one reason or another. There’s a new report that suggests Prince Harry might be returning to the UK as early as this month. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
According to reports, Prince Harry and even his wife Meghan Markle could return to the UK for a postponed Princess Diana memorial event that is scheduled for the end of October.
Will Prince Harry Return To The UK In Late October?
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could return with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, so they can all pay tribute to Princess Diana during a rescheduled memorial party. The event will celebrate the life of the late Princess of Wales, who would have turned 60 back in July. Reports say that the party will have over 100 people on the guest list.
There’s also a separate report suggesting Prince William and Harry might reunite once again at the upcoming Diana Awards, which was set up to honor their late mother, Princess Diana. Seeing how both William and Harry have been “heavily involved” in the event, there’s a possibility that Harry might return to the UK as soon as December.
But Tessy Ojo, the chief executive of the Diana Award, told The Daily Mail in an interview, “To us, it doesn’t matter where in the world they are. They are jointly committed to the awards. The Dukes will be heavily involved as it will be a whole week of events, so they are eager to take part.”
Tessy also added that regardless of what happens, she’s delighted to have the support of both Prince William and Prince Harry. “Right now we’re the only charity that has both of them involved. It really is a privilege,” she added.
This year’s Diana Award’s Legacy Awards will be held at the Althorp House in Northhampshire, which is where Diana grew up. Now, whether or not Prince Harry makes it for the event this year remains to be seen.
