Just when you thought you had heard it all, there’s a teddy bear story! On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Steven Johnston had to part with his favorite stuffed teddy bear. Viewers were very confused about why this is even part of the show and we got to hear quite an interesting story about it.
Steven’s story started when we were introduced to him and his girlfriend, Alina. The young couple has high hopes of meeting again and getting married in Turkey and moving to Russia once he has his visa.
There have been many red flags that Alina has seen and they started when she found out he was Mormon. She was always told that Mormonism was like a cult and she was scared of what he would do to her. He’s not in a cult, but the red flags continue to build. Is the teddy bear one?
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way – Steven Johnston’s Teddy Bear
The teddy bear wasn’t something that many of us thought would come up on the show, but it did. In the last episode of the show, Steven was packing and getting ready for his trip to Turkey to marry Alina. He said his final goodbyes to his family and the teddy bear.
Many viewers thought it was really odd that a 25-year old man would have this toy in his bedroom. With all of the comments and questions about it, Steven decided that he needed to open up about the bear to his fans. He took to Instagram to do so.
Steven posted a picture of himself with the bear and captioned it, “Goodbye Mr. Bear. The true story behind Mr. Bear. I acquired Mr. Bear the week after my ex Vanessa broke up with me. I was on my lunch break and went into a Walmart where the bear was on sale- 70% off. I didn’t have a girlfriend at the time, but knew this was a great deal. I didn’t want to miss out so I bought the bear with hopes of eventually giving it to someone else. To this day, Mr. Bear chills in my mom’s basement.”
This is quite an interesting story and we are glad that Steven wanted to share it with all of his fans. From the looks of it, on the show, it does a lot more than just chill in his mom’s basement.
