‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) are both having trouble letting go of the baby they helped bring into this world. We’ve seen Devon question his role as a father and Mariah has been falling apart in the hospital seeing Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) be a mother.
With Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) not coming back, and leaving the character in limbo, could we see Abby have a moment where she realizes the baby may be in better hands with Mariah and Devon as she reevaluates her life? While it’s a long shot, I think there may be some chance of that.

Abby is going to be a single mother, and while I know she has a family around her that will be willing to help, I’m not sure it’s the same as having Chance there. Plus, Mariah is with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Devon is with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), so while Devon and Mariah won’t technically be a couple, I think they could still make a co-parenting team.
Plus, they have the advantage of being the child’s biological parents. While at the moment, it is 100% Abby’s child, this is Genoa City and I think we could see a switching of the guard for the child. There have been crazier things… Look at Christian Newman, who is Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) biological son but has Nick as a father. In a few years, we could be looking back and remembering the craziness that took place only for the baby to end up with Devon and Mariah.
