The Blink-182 drummer credits his girlfriend for helping him to muster up the courage to take his first flight ever since his deadly plane crash back in 2008. Kourtney and Travis reportedly traveled to Mexico this past week. Here’s what you need to know.
Travis Barker took a flight to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, from Los Angeles with his girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian, on Saturday. The couple were spotted disembarking Kylie Jenner’s private jet in Cabo. The couple also shared a photograph on social media.
“With you anything is possible,” Travis praised his girlfriend in the caption, along with the black heart emoji.

“Anything and everything with you,” Kourtney commented, adding the same emoji as her beau.
Travis has not traveled by air since 2008 when his business jet to Van Nuys, California, crashed in South Carolina, killing his security guard, Charles Still, and assistant, Chris Baker, as well as the two pilots. He was critically injured, with third-degree burns on 65 percent of his body.
In an interview with Men’s Health, Travis said that “trying to grab my friends from a burning plane” had “haunted” him “for a long time.”
“Now it’s been so many years, it’s getting easier for me. There are days where I’ll wake up and never think about it,” he said. “… If I do [fly again], and the angels above help me in my travels and keep me safe, I would like to come back and [tell my children], ‘Hey, I just flew here, and then I flew home. And everything was fine.’ I have to tell them, because I almost left them. That’s a perfect day.”
