Andy Cohen has reunited with his dog (Wacha) a year after the talk show host decided to put him under the care of someone else.
Pure Joy As Andy Cohen Is Reunited With His Dog
The news was very heart-warming, given that the dog and Andy lived in each other’s lives for around seven years before they parted ways. So the actual return got Andy feeling a little emotional, to say the least. In a post to his fans on Instagram, Andy shared a picture of the dog licking his face. They are looking very happy as Andy seems to be taking him on a walk.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “It is my absolute lucky day today… Hey Wacha, say hi to the people! “We miss you, Wacha. It’s a good day today. It’s also beautiful out. And this dog is beautiful.” The story of their meeting was very deep. Andy first came across the dog when he decided to adopt it from a shelter.
He ended up developing a bond to the point where the dog became a part of the family. Just as Andy has had to go through difficulties, the dog arrived at an appropriate time in his life. So why did Andy decide to let the dog go in the first place? Well, as with all dogs, they can get aggressive on some occasions.
While that is to be expected because of the canine Instincts they possess, Andy’s life was at a different point in time. He could not afford to take the risk. He had just welcomed the arrival of his son Benjamin in 2019. And as any father would do, he felt it was necessary to protect Benjamin from any potential hazards.
But the decision to give him away was not easy. During a post at the time of his departure, Andy expressed his sadness at the fact he would be giving up his dog. He said: “I’ve been blessed to have Wacha in my life. We have worked to address some occasional random signs of aggression. [But] keeping him here could be catastrophic for Ben and worse for Wacha.”
