Emma Watson Denies Rumours That She Has Gotten Engaged
The actress, best known for her role as Hermoine in Harry Potter, has been dating Leo Robinton for approximately a year. Their relationship has, by the looks of it, been going on strong ever since. But it has not been enough for Emma to make that next step, or at least, for the time being. In a post to her fans on Twitter, Emma said there was nothing new to report.
She stated: “Dear Fans, Rumours about whether I’m engaged or not, or whether my career is ‘dormant or not’ are ways to create clicks each time they are revealed to be true or untrue. If I have news – I promise I’ll share it with you.” The news, even if it were true, would be a huge surprise for the following reasons: First, Emma made headlines when she famously labelled herself as ‘Self Partnered.’
This was the idea that she was happy being single and did not need a man in her life. Fast forward to today, and nothing could be further from the truth. On closer inspection, her love life has not exactly been a walk in the park. She is an outspoken advocate on many issues, such as women’s rights. Her life has involved a lot of dedication to those causes, often at the expense of intimate relationships.
We can see this through the whole list of men she was rumoured to be interested in. Such names included reported ‘romances’ with Johnny Simmons, Chord Overstreet, and Will Adamowicz. To top it all off, Emma was even linked with Tom Felton. However, like with any rumours, they have to come from the horse’s mouth.
Emma added: “In the meantime, please assume no news from me just means I’m quietly spending the pandemic the way most people are…caring for my loved ones and doing my best.” Time will tell how serious Emma is about moving to the next stage of her life. Making such a commitment is not the easiest thing to do.
