Jill Duggar showed the world just how proud she was over her husband Derick Dillard, who had just graduated from law school.

Derick, for his part, is well accustomed to the rigours of academia. He has already secured an accounting degree. But that passion for learning has continued, as he returned as a postgraduate student to secure a big step in becoming a lawyer. In a post to her fans on Instagram, we can see Jill and Derick getting ready for the graduation ceremony.
Jill is donning a bright red dress, while Derick is favouring a shirt and tie. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Getting ready for graduation! So proud of my man!” Although Derick will be getting all the plaudits, it cannot be stressed just how much support he received behind the scenes. Jill, in particular, was crucial to keeping Derick’s motivation levels high.
After all, the family has been through a lot. In another post on Instagram, Derrick paid tribute to his family’s support. He said: “My mom was my biggest supporter during that time, and my wife has helped me make it through law school. I couldn’t have done it without either of them, and they both continue to be my biggest supporters.”
The news is a welcome distraction for the family after Jill’s brother Josh Duggar was recently arrested on charges related to child pornography. Naturally, it has been very hard for Jill to come to terms with that. She is divided between doing the right thing, as per for Christian beliefs, but equally it is her brother. Nevertheless, Jill has had the support of the community around her.
This has been significant, as they could so easily have disassociated from the family all together. In a prior post on social media, Jill thanked those who reached out to her after Josh’s arrest. She commented: “We were reminded this morning in church about how important community is!…I’ve literally prayed for [a] good community!! We need others for support.”
It is great to see Jill having some positive news for once. And we wish them the best with the graduation ceremony.
