Katie Thurston may be turning heads on The Bachelorette, but she has already left her mark with some prior to the show.
‘The Bachelorette’: Katie Thurston’s Previous Love Interest Refers To Her As ‘The Dildo Girl’
Stand-up comedian Andrew Rivers recently confirmed his short love interest with Katie. And by the sounds of it, he was left with plenty of laughter. But this was not in the manner you may have expected. In a post to his fans on Instagram, Andrew detailed how the first date ended in a complete disaster. He said: “One night, we were about to hook up, but she just got a random nosebleed.
“That kind of killed the vibe, so we never ended up hooking up that night. And then, because of scheduling, I went on tour, and she had her own thing.” Katie would ultimately be confirmed as the show’s lead. However, her bold nature was also visible during her time with Andrew. Katie notoriously made an impression on Matt James’ season when she arrived with a ‘vibrator’ in her hand.
Clearly, that also left an impression on Andrew. And yet, it is not clear whether he still has feelings for her. He added: “Now there’s a girl I like on television with a vibrator. I was kind of rooting for her.'” Katie knows what she wants, and if she were interested in Andrew, she would have most likely picked things up. That is the impression coming out from the show’s producers.
Katie had reportedly wrapped up filming a whole week before the scheduled date. She was wasting no time in stringing anybody along. A source had said: “Katie was in control and made sure the men she wanted were there. And the men she wasn’t interested in, she sent packing.” With so much anticipation brewing up for the new season, many are excited to see how Katie will approach the show.
We can expect to see new dynamics, as Chris Harrison is no longer there. But for Andrew, he feels that Katie owes him for her success. He continued: “I feel like she owes me. Because if we hooked up, she wouldn’t be the dildo girl. … I want some royalties.”
