Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe took on the mantle of taking over Chris Harrison’s hosting role.

‘The Bachelorette’: How Are Tayshia Adams And Kaitlyn Bristowe Getting On As New Hosts?

While the duo are familiar with the franchise, having been on the show itself, they have no formal hosting experience. And by all accounts, it did begin to show immediately. A source said: “Tayshia and Kaitlyn have had to learn how to co-host, and it’s taken time…They get along with the crew. It’s just completely different with them co-hosting.”

But who could blame them? After all, no one was prepared for the sudden departure of Chris. In hindsight, the producers may have acted a bit rash and should have taken their time. That is not to say that Chris should have stayed in his job, as it is their prerogative, but rather they could have kept him in charge until a suitable replacement was found.

And yet, the public backlash got out of control, which may have left them with no option. Having said that, the duo are not seen as long term replacements. The source added: “[They’re] just helping out this season. This is not their permanent position.” Chris’ absence has clearly been noticeable. Although he was on set to help Tayshia and Kaitlyn settle in, they can hardly be expected to bring the same level of performance.

Chris did, for his part, have over a decade of hosting experience. And that has clearly shown. An insider remarked: “They didn’t have years of experience before hopping on. Scenes that could be done in one take with Chris can now take, like, two hours.” It is, however, important to note that the duo should be commended.

They did not have to take on the role, but they chose to give back to the show that had helped their careers. Regardless, anyone who took on the role after Chris was bound to face some criticism. Nevertheless, they continue to put the work in.

The insider stated: “They act professional, they’re on time and are helping the franchise as much as they can in this funky situation.” It is unlikely that Chris will return, but the show could certainly do with him now.
