Chris Lane has revealed that his wife, Lauren Bushnell, rejected his choice for their baby’s name.

The couple announced their pregnancy at the back end of last year, but it seems Lauren is the one calling the shots. In hindsight, it was probably the right thing for Lauren to do, given the choice of name. In an interview on the Katie and Company show, Chris said: “I threw out the name Rambo. She shot it down hard.
“I said, ‘Imagine when he comes up to bat, and they say ‘Rambo Lane,’ that sounds like he’s about to drop a bomb! Rambo Lane?” Lauren, for her part, has longed for a baby. Now that she has an opportunity to have one, she is hell-bent on making the best decisions that she can. That does not mean that Lauren will not have a little fun along the way, though.
This has been evident through her Instagram activity, where she has shared a whole lot of pictures showcasing her baby bump. That excitement was there to see when she broke the news of her pregnancy. In an Instagram video at the time, she said: “A dream. Except I’m not dreaming…Holding your dad’s hand, watching you dance around in my belly, listening to your little heartbeat. My new favourite sound.
“A miracle. New life. Our sweet baby. Thank you, Jesus! All the glory belongs to You.” The news was even sweeter given Lauren’s struggles in getting pregnant. She was very open in the past about how she felt inferior compared to her circle of friends, who happened to get pregnant instantly. Naturally, she began to doubt herself and wondered whether something was wrong with her.
But after seeking some medical advice, she knew she was on the right track. That did not stop her husband, Chris, from worrying though. In a previous interview, she revealed: “I couldn’t help but compare my situation with those of my friends who it happened very easily for… I assumed there was something wrong with me. Chris would see how disappointed and worried I would get, and I could tell he felt really bad.”
