So how does one go about doing such a thing? Well, not in the way you might have expected. Jinger’s father had sent Jeremy a huge questionnaire to fill out in order to see whether he was the right man for his daughter. And as history tells us, Jeremy filled it out well. But it was not without its challenges. In an interview with Us Weekly, he said: “It was intense but I was actually pretty eager to fill it out.

“It’s tough for Mr Duggar [Jinger’s dad], man. He’s got all these girls [and] all these guys hanging around. I think if I had all those girls, I’d probably come up with a document too.” There were concerns from the parents about whether Jeremy was a suitable man. First, he was a former soccer player which came with the added burden of being in the public eye.

This was likely to extend to Jinger, if she were to marry him. Second, there was always the question of whether Jeremy was in the relationship for the long haul. But looking back, he clearly was as evidenced by their relationship history. They got married in 2016 and now have a wonderful family as they share two kids: Felicity and Evangeline.

Jeremy, though, understood why Jinger’s father was so cautious. He added: “I think it was a way for Mr Duggar to get to know me. The questionnaire asks some pretty intensely personal questions. … You have to know who you are.” Rather than take it as a bad experience, Jeremy has learnt a lot through the process. He marvelled at how wonderful his wife has been, and her strength is something that Jeremy has thanked her father for.

Naturally, he is aiming to follow in the same way with his kids. He continued: “I’m going to be protecting my little girls too.” It is great to see the couple being so happy together, but as for the questionnaire, Jeremy will not be filling another one out anytime soon.
