'Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Rey’s Past Haunts Him, Leads To Major Trouble!

‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers tease that Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) past might soon catch up with his present and no, that’s not a good thing at all. Here’s what you need to know.

‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Rey’s Past Haunts Him, Leads To Major Trouble!

While Rey and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) seem to be rather solid, they’ve got two things that are getting in their way. Rey’s trust issues from his past relationship and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), a man that Sharon obviously still has feelings for.

Jordi tells Soaps in Depth in an interview, “Jordi sees Adam as a threat to everyone that he encounters. Rey has been around people like this, felons, for a long time. He can smell these people a mile away and Adam is a dangerous individual He is a punk in Rey’s eyes.”

And while Sharon is trying to give Adam the help and emotional support that he needs, they are getting a little too close for comfort according to Rey. Jordi continued, “It is reminding Rey too much of his past situations, like his relationship with Mia. It is a different situation, because Sharon comes at it in a caring, loving way whereas Mia was more of a spitfire, a firecracker. Sharon is this other personality who Rey has come to adore and cherish, but he’s dealing with hurt from this previous relationship.”

Jordi further explained, “Sharon and Adam definitely have a past and Rey is aware that the past can create feelings. There is an attachment there, and that can spiral into a whole mess.”

If that weren’t enough, Rey has also noticed that while he is fully committed to their relationship, the blonde stunner always seems to fall for Adam’s charms. Couple this with Rey’s trust issues from the past, and it looks like Rey and Sharon’s relationship might not survive. For fans, this is bad news as they would love to see them together. But then again, what couple has their ‘happily ever after,’ especially in the soap world, right?
