The David Dobrik saga threatens to spill over as the alleged victim and a witness have had their say.

The star has been embroiled in a major scandal after he was accused of filming an alleged rape that had taken place by his former vlog member Dominykas Zeglaitis. The woman has remained anonymous but simply referred to as ‘Hannah’ for the purposes of her safety.
One witness told Insider how the women might have been forced to drink more: “There were also times where he was clearly trying to get her to drink more,” while Hannah stated, “It seemed like I had a super-fun night with these famous vloggers basically, which is not what happened. I was exploited for content and stripped of autonomy and a voice.” David has yet to comment on the allegations that have been made.
That has not stopped the repercussions, though. He has lost various endorsements deals with brands looking to distance themselves from the Youtuber. Not only that, there are fears that the star could be another victim of the so-called cancel culture. While he has not publicly addressed it, his lawyers have, nevertheless, released a statement on his behalf.
In a statement, his lawyer said: “Anyone who knows him knows he does not condone misconduct in any form. Vlog participants provide consent before anything is posted. Whenever consent is retracted, posts are removed. Any insinuation of wrongdoing is inaccurate and defamatory.” Things got worse as David made a huge blunder by not addressing the issue on his main channel.
He has a total of 16 million subscribers, that could now be under threat. Instead, David chose to give a coy apology without addressing the issue on his other channel, ‘Nash’s podcast views.’ This was heavily criticised as the subscribership is significantly lower than his main channel. Nevertheless, here is what he had to say: “There’s also been moments where I’ve looked back on videos. And I realise that these don’t represent me anymore, and they’re hurtful to other people, and I don’t want them up because I’ve grown as a content creator and as a person.”
With the scandal still in the early stages, fans wait with bated breath for David to address it publicly.
