‘The Bachelor’ spoilers find that Emmanuel Acho, who replaced Chris Harrison as the host on The Bachelor, has revealed how he is seeking to learn as much as possible from Chris, and by all accounts, things have been going well.

In an interview on Extra, Emmanuel stated how lengthy their conversations had been. He said: “Chris and I have spoken at length over the last two weeks. Very helpful, very good conversations.” It seems an age since Chris left his role in the aftermath of his comments to Rachel Lindsay, which were deemed to be defending racism.

Emmanuel, though, had his say on the matter. He recognised that the hate coming Chris’ way was natural, but this should not detract from the issue at hand: that being, allowing Chris the chance to make amends. He added: “People need to give him the opportunity, the grace and the time to do the work. And then they need to receive the work he does.”

With that in mind, Chris has already made amends. He has come out and acknowledged that his comments were wrong. He has reached out to Rachel and promised to do whatever it takes to rectify his wrongs. In an interview with Good Morning America, Chris said: “I am saddened and shocked at how insensitive I was in that interview with Rachel Lindsay.

“I can’t believe I didn’t speak against antebellum parties, what they stand for. I didn’t say it then, and I want to say it now: those parties are not OK, past, present, future. And I didn’t speak from my heart. And that is to say that I stand against all forms of racism, and I am deeply sorry to Rachel Lindsay and to the Black community.”

Rachel has been receptive to those words. Although she has suffered at Chris’ hands, having to leave Instagram in the face of harassment, she has stressed that she wants to move on. And what better way to do that than to forgive Chris. She told Extra: “I do accept [his apology], and I think it’s important for me to say that because we need to move forward. And for me, for us to move forward, I need to accept the apology, so we can all be better from this situation, which is what we want.”
