The British television personality is now claiming that he is the real victim of racist bullying by people who are defending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday night. Here’s what he has to say.
The royal pundit – who now says that he stands by the Queen following Harry and Meghan’s tell-all with Oprah – says social media users on Twitter are trying to silence his voice after he called the interview a “disgraceful betrayal” on his morning television show.

On Monday morning, Piers went off on Harry and Meghan for airing their family’s dirty laundry by saying, “They’ve trashed [Harry’s] dad, they’ve trashed his brother, they’ve trashed his sister-in-law. They’ve trashed everything the Queen has worked so hard for and we’re supposed to believe they’re compassionate?”
Piers then accused his guest Dr. Mos-Shogbamimu of race-baiting for merely bringing up the realities of his privilege and the colonial racism the British monarchy is built upon.
Seeing that his interview didn’t go too well, Piers took to his Twitter account to write, “Can all the Meghan/Harry fans currently abusing me with stuff like ‘shut the f*ck up white man’ please stop trying to silence my voice with racist bullying.”
During their interview, both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed that members of the royal family had discussed with the Duke of Sussex how dark their son’s color might be.
Meghan said a few of the royal family members had conversations with Harry about the potential color of Archie’s skin. Harry later relayed this to his wife. He added that this discussion of “what will the kids look like” came “right at the beginning” of their relationship.
