Meghan Markle’s former BFF Jessica Mulroney says that Canada’s lockdown is getting touch on her kids. She recently reached out to her social media followers for tips on how to get through the coronavirus lockdown as she recently noticed “sadness” from her 5-year-old daughter. Here’s what she has to say.
Sharing an adorable photo of her daughter Ivy with her bunny, the fashion stylist captioned her photo with, “A bunny with a bunny. For the first time today I saw my daughter express sadness. She normally plays well by herself, extremely positive but this lockdown is now really getting to her. Any tips on how to help get through this that has worked for your daughters?”

Of course, it didn’t take very long for Jessica’s Instagram fans and followers to comment on the photo. Many of them wrote, “Plan a video lunch for her and her friends where they all eat the same food and can chat or do a show and tell of sorts,” along with, “My grandkids sent stickers and little cards by mail to friends and family. Canada Post was remarkably fast. And return letters started coming back within 4 days. They also painted happy rocks and placed them along their daily walking route. Every day they checked to see if any were picked up – and lo and behold, new ones began to appear.”
Another fan wrote, “Get down to her level. While playing with her talk to her about the lockdown, what she misses, what would she like to do for fun at home. I lay in bed with my 5 yr old nightly and we chat about her day. She started asking me “what made you happy? What made you sad? What made you angry?” And then I ask her the same questions. It opens up great dialogue for her.”
