Demi Burnett has dropped some major news revealing that The Batwomen actress Ruby Rose sent her a DM after she revealed that she was a lesbian on the TV show, Bachelor in Paradise in 2019.

When speaking about it on the We Are Having Gay Sex podcast, she went to detail the exact nature of the story: “She DMed me one time, and I almost died.” It was really funny, because she said, ‘Hey,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, she’s sliding in.’ I was like, ‘This is it.'”
Just like many fans would have, Demi went on to outline how she initially struggled to digest what had happened: “I was like, ‘Hi, what’s up’ or something and she said, ‘Sup,'” she recalled. “I was actually doing something cool, but it wasn’t that cool, but I made it sound like it.”
So how did Ruby respond to Demi? She went on to say: “She was like ‘I was just messaging you because Demi Lovato told me too.” I was like, ‘Oh,’ because me and Demi Lovato are good friends, and Demi knows I’m obsessed with her, so Demi was probably like, ‘You should DM her, she’s going to love it.’ I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh. I thought she was hitting on me.”
And in the same vein, Demi outlined how she and her parents felt about her decision. In doing so, she revealed that some members did not find out until watching the show: “I was out to some of my close friends. I told my parents right before. That was terrifying. “I was really nervous.”
Did Demi regret that decision? Given by her later comments, not in the slightest. She went on to joke about the reaction of her grandparents with the following comments: “My grandparents, I’m pretty sure, were watching it with their whole church group, like, ‘Ooh, Demi’s about to be on TV, and then like, ‘Oh, we don’t know her. That is not my granddaughter.”
