‘Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers indicate that she’s a very busy woman these days but according to Denise Richards, that’s how she likes it. The Hollywood actress has been a household name for years, yet this is her first year on daytime television. The blonde beauty has been playing Shauna Fulton for several months now and Denise says that it’s a role that she absolutely enjoys. That’s mostly because she has so many great friends and co-stars who have helped get her settled in on the set. Here’s what you need to know.

In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, Denise says that when she was approached to play Shauna on The Bold and the Beautiful, she didn’t know what to expect, but was interested in the role nonetheless. She said, “I’ve never done a daytime soap opera before but I thought it would be something fun and different. I had a wonderful conversation with Bradley Bell [executive producer/head writer] and it was just out of my usual comfort zone, which made it even more appealing.”

Denise also says that she’s thankful she wasn’t thrown in the deep end right away. After all, there’s a lot to learn when it comes to acting in the soap world. “My first day was actually quite easy — I just had one scene,” she recalls. “But then for what I would call my first week there, I was in New York doing press and flew back to L.A., and as soon as I landed, I had to go straight to The Bold and the Beautiful and I shot three episodes that day, which is a lot. I believe I had over 50 pages of dialogue, and it was a little daunting because it was the most pages I’ve ever done in a day, but I got through it, I knew my lines and I was thrilled about that.”
