Back in October, we learned about Jeffree Star and allegations against him that included sexual and physical assault. One of the first allegations that came up was from a man named Gage Arthur.
Arthur reported that Star shocked him with a taser and then proceeding to perform non consensual oral sex on him. This apparently happened in 2009. At that time, Arthur was 19 and was homeless.
Arthur did end up recanting his statement, but now there are documents stating that the reason Arthur recanted his statement was because he was paid off. It apparently received around $45,000 from the CFO of Jeffree Star Cosmetics! The date for this paperwork is marked 2017.
Youtuber Jeffree Star: More Hush Money
On the website stickydrama.com, there are documents that show receipts to Arthur for another $45,000 and they were stamped September 28, 2020. Not only did Arthur recant his statement around this time, but then he came out and told the other victims of Star that they also needed to take their statements away.
He encouraged them to make the right decision and continued to say that Star was innocent soon after this time. Is that because he was paid off with hush money?
Youtuber Jeffree Star: Was His Accuser Paid Off?
These documents, which are now all over social media, are made out to Andrew Arthur, which is Gage’s legal name and the signature looks a lot like Star’s.
The settlement payment reads, “Within two business days of signing this agreement, Mr. Arthur shall be paid twenty-five thousand dollars. If Business Insider does not publish the article about Mr. Star within three months of the Effective Date, Mr. Arthur shall receive an additional twenty-five thousand dollars. Anthony Vanity and Dani Artaud have also retracted statements to Business Insider. Mr. Arthur shall receive an additional ten thousand dollars for contacting Mr. Vanity and Ms. Artaud for a total of an additional twenty thousand dollars.”
When this all came out, Star’s representatives spoke on his behalf, “While Insider may believe that generating click-bait is more important than honest reporting, facts still matter. Tellingly, all of the key individuals involved have refused to substantiate Insider’s bogus claims, while many, including Jeffree’s representatives, presented the reported with a mountain of evidence proving that these allegations are false.”
It seems pretty convenient that as soon as these people are paid off, they drop their charges and tell others to do so as well. With these receipts clearly there, how is Star still getting away with this? We are curious to see how many more people come out about these charges in order to get hush money of their own
