’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers finds that Yara Zaya Dufren has, at least at the time of filming, been infected with COVID-19. We’ve observed both Yara and hubby Jovi Dufren walking around without masks since the beginning of the season, in spite of this being filmed during quarantine, so honestly I’m surprised these two didn’t catch it before then.
Jovi wanted to know where Yara got it because she got it while he was away and he was questioning her rather intently on who she had been around but Yara said that she honestly didn’t know.

She did say in her confessional however that in New Orleans a lot of people were walking around without masks and that she still had to do things like go to the grocery store and do day to day things, she said it wasn’t her fault that she got COVID and indeed it’s not, anyone can get sick at any time.
She said that she always went outside with a mask (in what universe?) and she was always masked up while she was out with little Mylah (Did you just wear your invisible mask, Yara? because we didn’t see one.), but in all the times that she and Jovi were out together when he was home, she wasn’t wearing a mask that anyone could see.
She was also afraid that she would end up giving the virus to little Mylah through breastfeeding now that she has it, but her pediatrician gave her some surprising information on that. According to Mylah’s doctor, they said that breastfeeding with COVID was okay, in fact, preferable, because the antibodies that the Mom makes would be transferred to the baby and the baby would “never get it”. That’s a medical opinion I am highly suspect of, but please do your own research on that one.
I think it’s safe to say that throwing caution to the wind anytime during quarantine was the reason that Yara got COVID. Maybe she just felt safe because no one else was wearing a mask, maybe being with Jovi made her feel safe (although seriously what is he going to do to fight off an invisible, potentially deadly virus?), but now that she has it, let’s hope that they’ve both learned a lesson – wear the mask! (And get vaccinated.) Stay tuned!!!
