There’s nothing ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers love more than a good dose of character growth and history, and it looks like we’re in for some of that in the coming days as Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) fights back to stay in Salem.
John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) tried to help Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers) by threatening Konstantin with bodily harm if he didn’t leave Maggie alone and get out of Salem.
But as usual, they think their plan worked but in reality they hit a snag, and that snag is Konstantin knows John.
Or rather, he knows his eyes, and we suspect this will be from back before John first came to Salem with his face bandaged.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Long memory
After their confrontation, Konstantin mentioned to himself that he knows John’s eyes. He got a good enough look at them when John grabbed him by the scruff of his shirt to play the tough man in his and Steve’s performance.
And that’s where Konstantin will gain and advantage, though ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers aren’t sure what that is yet.
Since Konstantin has a wide open background to play with, the writers can use that to their advantage by having him taking part in John coming to Salem, and it will probably have some ties to Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston).
How that’s going to play out is anyone’s guess, but it should be interesting to see what the writers have up their sleeves.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Maggie will play a pivotal role
We have no doubt that Konstantin will rely heavily on Maggie to aid him in his scheme as he’ll continue to prey on her good will.
To start with, he’ll probably tell her he was accosted by Steve and a friend into leaving Salem, and he’ll then go into a story about John’s past that may or may not be true.
Since John’s been in town for a few decades and everyone knows him, we doubt anything Konstantin tells her will be shocking.
But if he’s frightened enough by the memory of who John was and he’s with Steve, it could be enough for her to step into the action and give Steve and John a solid dressing down or worse.
There are so many possibilities with this and we can’t wait to see what the writers come up with and if it’ll remain consistent with what we know of John’s past.
