The identity of the woman Matthew Perry was last seen with in public has been revealed, and she describes their encounter as a positive one, just a day before the actor’s passing.
Athenna Crosby, a 25-year-old model and entertainment reporter, has stepped forward as the mysterious brunette who accompanied Matthew last Friday at the Hotel Bel-Air. She shared that she had the privilege of knowing Matthew personally and that their meeting was filled with upbeat energy.
According to Athenna, Matthew was in “extremely good spirits” during their dinner together. He spoke with enthusiasm about his upcoming plans and was clearly happy and vibrant.
While some may have speculated that this meeting was romantic, Athenna clarifies that it was not. They were just friends who had met through a mutual acquaintance a few months ago.

Athenna wrote, “I am so devastated from his death but felt it was in poor taste to talk about it publicly as the attention should not be on me but rather on him and his legacy and he was an extremely private person and I always respected that in our friendship.”
She goes on to explain that Matthew was very positive during their conversation, expressing his excitement about his weight loss journey and looking forward to playing pickleball on Saturday. Tragically, he was found unresponsive in his jacuzzi after spending hours at the court.
As a memento of their friendship, Athenna shared a signed copy of Matthew’s memoir, ‘Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,’ in which he referred to her as “the number 1 girl.”
