90 Day: The Last Resort has been one of those train wrecks that viewers just can’t get enough of. One of the most dysfunctional couples that we have seen on the show is Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa.
They decided to go on the show in order to save their marriage. They have two young children together and it came out that Asuelu cheated on Kalani when he was visiting Samoa.

She had a phone call with him and he stuck out his tongue. She noticed that it looked like he had an infection on his tongue. This is how it all came out that he had been unfaithful to her.
His solution to this problem was to give her a “hall pass” so that she could cheat on him. Let’s find out more about these two and just what is next for them.

When it came out that Kalani got a “hall pass” from Asuelu, she did admit to cheating on him as well. She actually got closer to the man she cheated on that she thought possible. It seems as if she started a relationship with the man that she cheated with.

While on the show, Kalani did tell Asuelu that she would block the other man’s number and she showed him that she did follow through with it. As viewers have watched this series, Kalani and Asuelu have been going tit-for-tat when it comes to their marriage.
It turns out that they act as if their marriage is more like a competition and not a team. When Asuelu gave Kalani the “hall pass”, he never felt as if this would backfire on him and even though he has seemed to try to get their marriage back on track, he feels like it is too little too late.
As viewers have watched on, fans of the franchise have felt that Kalani has been checked out of her marriage for quite some time. She has very strong feelings for the man that she cheated on Asuelu with.
When Kalani opened up about the homework that the sex therapist gave her, she told the other women at the retreat that she was not thinking of her husband when she pleasured herself, but she thought of the new man. It is clear that Kalani had checked out of her marriage, even when she told Asuelu that she would try.
Now that the show has moved forward, some fans feel as if Kalani is now revolted by having sex with her husband. She has no more desire to be with him and this is telling. Even though she has worked on her marriage, Kalani and Asuelu pretty much seem destined to fail.
After viewers have watched on, they have decided that Kalani and Asuelu need much better partners in life and perhaps Kalani has found hers. We will just have to wait and see.
