In 2005, Paris Hilton felt emotional and cried when she came across her own picture on the front page of Playboy magazine, as she had not authorized the use of her photographs.
Paris Hilton Was Traumatized After Appearing On Playboy Without Her Permission-‘Branded As A Sl*t’
According to her newly published autobiography titled “Paris: The Memoir”, the celebrity revealed that she had rejected an offer worth seven-figures from the late founder of a magazine, Hugh Hefner, to feature in it.
The reason behind her refusal was the fear of being perceived in a negative way due to her previous scandal involving a sex tape.
Paris shared in her book that she was surprised to discover that images from a previous photoshoot of hers had been used on the cover featuring her.
She said: “No one was terribly surprised to see me on the cover of Playboy. Except me. I was surprised. And not in a good way.
“Even when he offered seven figures, I turned it down, because I knew my mom would lose her mind, and because I had already been branded as a sl*t after the sex tape.”
Hilton has revealed that she was once in favor of appearing on the cover of Playboy magazine, as she was living with Playboy bunnies and frequently attending parties at the Playboy mansion.
However, her mother, Kathy Hilton, who was also approached by the magazine in her younger years, objected to the idea, calling it “trashy”.
Paris respected her mother’s opinion and decided not to pursue the opportunity. Paris, who never expected to be on the front cover of Playboy, ended up there after four years.
She remembers that her mother and father were angry while she cried. However, nobody confronted Hugh as it was not considered appropriate.
But since the damage had already been done, the social media response was not very empathetic.
This was on the basis that some felt Paris was using the experience to stay relevant since it had occurred a long moment ago.
Therefore, there was no need to dwell on it. One person wrote: “I love how all of this comes out after the fact.
“She never said a word at the times just enjoyed the attention. Not blaming the victim here but she benefited greatly from her actions.”
It is fair to say that this was not Paris’ finest moment. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
