In her newly published memoir, Paris Hilton acknowledged and spoke about the racist and homophobic comments she made in the 2000s.
Paris Hilton Recalls Her Racist And Homophobic Comments-‘I’m Mortified, Grossed Out’
In her newly released memoir “Paris: The Memoir,” Hilton stated that her stay at Provo Canyon School treatment center had a detrimental impact on her mental health, resulting in a significantly impaired thought process.
According to her, while staying at residential treatment centers, she had to attend “raps” which were attack therapy sessions where people used very offensive language and targeted the most obvious person.
Hilton shared that she was compelled to participate in these sessions. Hilton alleges that during her time at treatment facilities, she experienced sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, and she has consistently maintained this claim.
And by the looks of it, her language became colorful as a result. In her book, she said: “The N-word. The C-word. The F-word. (Not that F-word, the worse one.)
“I look back on some of the things I said in the years after I left Provo, in the throes of PTSD, and I’m mortified.
“I’m grossed out, because that means those creepy people got inside my head. I never really left them behind.”
Hilton has been vocal about her experiences at Provo Canyon School and her efforts to reform the “troubled teen industry.”
Starting from October 2021, she has been advocating for changes in child abuse legislation to the administration of President Joe Biden.
Hilton has alleged that her parents were tricked into sending her to a facility for troubled teenagers where she was subjected to abuse.
Despite this being the case, she did hold her hands up for her poor choice of language by giving some more context to the matter.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “Saying I drank to dull the pain – that’s an explanation, not an excuse.
“Sometimes I was just wasted and being a f—ing moron. I don’t remember half the stuff people say I said when I was being a blacked-out idiot.”
The social media response, though, was daming. Large numbers of people made it clear that Hilton’s comments were designed to evoke a reaction for publicity.
And in the process of doing so, the responses were very harsh indeed. One person wrote: “Never will know or care why Paris Hilton has any significance.
“She makes the Kardashians look as talented as Michael Jordan.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
