It has been confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been told to vacate their British residence, Frogmore Cottage.

According to reports, King Charles III presented Prince Andrew with the keys to the cottage. In addition, it has been said that Harry and Meghan are organizing to take away anything else they have in the residence. The couple and their two kids, Archie and Lilibet, are currently living in Montecito, California, however, they still own a 10-bedroom home in the United Kingdom.

In an official statement on behalf of the couple, a representative confirmed the following: “We can confirm the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage.” Nevertheless, it is important to bear in mind the following point.

It is believed that Charles’ order to the Sussexes to move out of the house was due to the release of Spare, which was very damning to members of the firm. It is not certain whether Andrew is prepared to move to Frogmore Cottage, as there are reports he is not keen on doing it.

After all, it should be noted that when Harry and Meghan tied the knot in 2018, Queen Elizabeth II gifted them Frogmore Cottage as a gift. A source confirmed the following: “Andrew is resisting the idea of moving into Frogmore Cottage after he was offered it last week. But it shows Harry and Meghan are powerless to stop the eviction.”

And by the looks of it, this has not gone down well with the Sussexes. They had reportedly been invited to attend King Charles III’s Coronation, but this move suggests that a reconciliation is a long way away. According to an insider close to Harry, the  Duke has been horrified by this move. The insider stated: “It all feels very final and like a cruel punishment.”
