There are new reports that suggest Alec Baldwin is insisting on starring in his movie Rust despite the fact that he’s just been hit with two counts of manslaughter in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. According to new reports, Alec is looking to continue production on his film even though he and armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed will be charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death of Hutchins on the film’s set in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Interestingly enough, Melina Spadone, lawyer for Rust Movie Productions, confirmed the film is “still on track to be completed with Mr Baldwin in the lead role and Joel Souza returning as director.”
It was previously reported that Rust would resume filming this month with Matthew Hutchins serving as executive producer. Hutchins said in a statement: “We have reached a settlement, subject to court approval, for our wrongful death case against the producers of Rust, including Alec Baldwin and Rust Movie Productions, LLC. As part of that settlement, our case will be dismissed. The filming of Rust, which I will now executive produce, will resume with all the original principal players on board in January 2023. I have no interest in engaging in recriminations or attribution of blame (to the producers or Mr Baldwin).”
But as many fans know, the Hollywood actor is facing several years behind bars. There’s a new report that says Baldwin will be charged with involuntary manslaughter for the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust back in 2021. Baldwin and the movie’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, each will be charged with two counts. Hutchins was shot and killed by Baldwin on the set of the movie, even though the actor maintains that he never pulled the trigger.
