Speculation is rampant that the escalating rift between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with the Royal Family is potentially having a major influence on their reputation in Hollywood.
Has Oprah Ditched Harry And Meghan Following Their Absence From Her 69th Birthday?
It appears that the couple had no part in the weekend’s festivities honouring Oprah Winfrey on her 69th birthday, which saw other celebrities like Kim Kardashian even attend.
This was noticeable given that the Sussexes had trusted Oprah with their bombshell interview after leaving the Royal Family in 2020 in which they made several damning allegations, such as someone in the firm having reservations over Archie’s skin colour. Not only that, but Oprah just so happened to be one of the guests at their wedding in 2018.
Christopher Andersen, who happens to be a royal expert, had this to say: “My reading of the situation is that both Oprah and the Sussexes realise this is a very delicate moment for Harry and Meghan as we approach the coronation of King Charles.
“Appearing at such a glitzy, high-profile event with Hollywood A-listers to honor Oprah is not what the Sussexes need right now.” Nevertheless, there could be another reason for this. Harry recently retracted claims that he had accused the firm of being racist.
Instead, he went on to refer to it as a case of unconscious bias. This may have gone some way to portray Oprah’s interviewing in a negative light. And yet, Andersen sees it as much simpler than that by ruling out any chances of disharmony.
His following comments confirmed as much: “I’m certain Harry and Meghan remain on friendly terms and are keeping the whole Oprah/H&M thing on the down-low.” The fans on social media began to troll the Sussexes in response.
And in the process, the comments were very ridiculing. One person wrote: “Meghan was not noticeably missing .. I didn’t notice .. Did you ??” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
