On Thursday, 2nd February 2023, Britney Spears took to Instagram to publicly express her admiration for Pamela Anderson.
Britney Spears Faces Backlash For Praising Pamela Anderson-‘Well Pamela Actually Raised Her Boys’
The 41-year-old singer praised Anderson for her sex symbol status during the peak of her Baywatch career, and additionally commented that the actress is still very much a sex symbol in present times
While that may have been the case, Spears’ post was unfortunately deleted shortly after it was posted. In her comments at the time, Britney said: “I’m such a fan of Pamela Anderson.
“She was the only sex icon at one time in America and she still is. I really respect the fact that her children stood up for her relating to the fact that people were trying to sell her story from the past.”
Britney’s words of admiration for Pamela’s boys have been made known at a time when her own children Sean and Jayden, both aged 17 and 16, have not been visiting her as per their dad Kevin Federline’s statement that this was likely caused by the strange and sometimes explicit content Britney has been posting on social media.
Not only that, but Pamela has been criticised in the past over the explicit material that has surfaced online about her, most notably when a sex tape of her had been stolen and leaked, which has still tarnished her to this day. With that being said, the fans on social media had a lot to say on the matter.
A large proportion of people slammed Britney over her comments. This was on the grounds that they felt she was nothing like Pamela, who had by all accounts gone out of her way for her children, despite her issues. And this is something they felt Britney was lacking in.
