Doubts have been raised about the accuracy of Armie Hammer’s claims that he contemplated taking his own life in 2021, with the emergence of previous messages from him in which he told a similar story the year before.
Armie Hammer’s Suicide Story Questioned As Doubts Raised Over Its Accuracy-‘Narcissistic Abusers Use This Trick’
In the actor’s initial conversation since a career-damaging controversy, in which he was alleged to have raped a woman named Effie and mistreating several others, Hammer recalled nearly taking his life only to then not do so as he realized he would leave his children behind.
In his comments at the time, he said: “[I] just walked out into the ocean and swam out as far as I could and hoped that either I drowned, or was hit by a boat, or eaten by a shark.”
While that may have been the case, it appears that a similar encounter was revealed by Hammer concerning another woman a year before this. Hammer and his ex Courtney Vucekovich communicated through Instagram in the month of June 2020, and he told her the exact same tale of swimming out into the sea.
In those messages, Hammer allegedly said: “So, my dad and I are almost getting in to [sic] fist fights every night and my wife [Elizabeth Chambers] and I are fighting all day…Long story short….I swam out really far in the ocean. Too far.”
This naturally begs the question: Did Hammer consider taking his life on two occasions, or was the narrative repeated in order to minimize the damage that had been done to his reputation? Well, the social media response was firmly in favor of the latter, as the comments towards the actor were very condemnatory.
One person wrote: “Narcissistic abusers use this trick all of the time for sympathy. They say they’ll do it but they never do.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
