Prince Harry has strongly denied the reports that Meghan Markle was given security training from the SAS just before their marriage.

In his book called Spare, the Duke of Sussex made it clear that the rumours that have been circulating for some time are not true. He was referring to a statement made by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand in a biography that was released in August 2020.
It stated that the Duchess had undergone a pretend abduction, so she could be made ready for any risky security matters, including hostage crises and terrorist attacks. The authors of the book reported a source who said that the exercise had been “extremely intense and scary” for Meghan.
However, Harry denied that this was the case. In his book, he wrote: “[Meghan] wasn’t given one minute of training. On the contrary, the Palace floated the idea of not giving her any security at all because I was now sixth in line to the throne.”
If those comments are taken to be true, then it is significant for the following reasons. First of all, it may justify Harry’s prior claims that he does not feel safe attending the UK without his own security. Secondly, it does not look good for the firm as it does not foster any chances of a reconciliation.
The fans on social media began to troll Omid’s revelations. This was on the grounds that he is known for having favourable coverage of Meghan, which is why Harry’s comments were out of the blue. And in the process, they cast doubt on Omid’s approach towards the Sussexes moving forward.
One person wrote: “Bye bye OmidWanScobie. You’re about to be a ghost,” while another person stated: “You can’t make this up – this is hilarious given that Omid Scobie is supposed to be H&M’s mouthpiece.”
