Kim Kardashian was all over the news recently when she bought Princess Diana’s renowned Attallah cross.
Royal Family Would Have ‘Laughed’ After Kim Kardashian Bought Princess Diana’s Necklace-Says Royal Expert Valentine Low
The 42-year-old purchased the piece at Sotheby’s Royal and Noble sale. According to TMZ, the famous reality star paid $200,000 for the jewellery, which has round-cut diamonds and square-cut amethysts.
This was a shock to say the least since the Kardashian was the last person that you may have expected to have been interested in buying this. And yet, she has shown that she does have an eye for memorable pieces when she wore Marilyn Monroe’s dress, that she used to sing happy birthday to former US President J.F.K, at the 2022 Met Gala.
With that being said, a few people had a lot to say on this. Step forward: royal expert Valentine Low. When asked how he thought the royals would have reacted to this, he said: “I think they probably laugh at it. Laugh about it over the breakfast table and move on. [They] certainly wouldn’t be annoyed, I [don’t] think.”
Even though the members of the Royal Family may have been entertained by Kardashian’s purchase, the monarchy has been in the news for more serious matters of late. With the publication of Prince Harry’s autobiography, Spare, the strain between the Duke of Sussex and his family has become even more palpable.
Harry shares his experiences with the U.K. media, members of the Royal Family, such as his brother, Prince William, in the book. In one part, the former working royal even states that William had physically attacked him as he fell on a dog bowl.
The response on social media was much the same. A large number of people mocked the idea that Kim had purchased this. One person wrote: “I know I did..[laugh].” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
