Angel Carter, the twin sister of the late Aaron Carter, and Nick Carter, honoured the deceased at a ‘Songs For Tomorrow’ charity event with Lance Bass.

This event included performances from several well-known pop singers from the late 1990s and early 2000s. Its purpose was to raise funds for the On Our Sleeves organisation, which deals with children’s mental health.
Aaron Carter, who is 42 years old, gave the audience his first listen to his brand new song dedicated to his brother who recently passed away, titled “Hurts to Love You”. To accompany the performance, he also premiered the video of the song.
Furthermore, an unreleased track titled “Recovery” was played, clips showing footage from Aaron and Nick’s childhood. Aaron passed away last year at his residence in California at the age of 34. His cause of death has not been announced after having allegedly been found dead in his bathtub.
He had been candid about his issues with alcohol and drugs as well as tensions with both Angel and Nick, who both obtained restraining orders against him in the year 2019.
In her legal filing, Angel claimed that her twin brother had threatened her family, whereas the Backstreet Boys vocalist claimed that Aaron told him he had contemplated murdering Nick’s then-pregnant wife, Lauren Kitt Carter, and unborn baby. Aaron refused these claims.
Soon after the news of the passing emerged, both Nick and Angel were left overwhelmed. In his comments, Aaron stated: “Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded.”
While Angel remarked: “I have loved him since we were born… it feels like a piece of my soul is gone.” Aaron may no longer be here, but he has left behind memories with those that held him dear.
