On Friday, 30th December 2022, Sam Asghari, the husband of Britney Spears, attempted to put an end to the gossip when he talked to a photographer in Los Angeles about the claims that he has great influence over his 41-year-old wife.

Supporters of her have, once more, been circulating rumours that she is not the one who is making decisions about her life or what she publishes on social media. And yet, in a video released by TMZ, it is revealed that the 28-year-old actor has no say in what he can eat when he is with the renowned singer.
In his comments, Sam said: “I don’t even control what we have for dinner. He offered an unexpected composed reply when he was questioned regarding why Britney’s fans have a tendency to be drawn to many theories.
It does not appear to be rational to think that Sam is controlling Britney, considering that he has expressed his unease over the numerous nude and semi-nude pictures and clips that she has shared on social media since her conservatorship ended.
He admitted that he would rather she never post such risqué content, however, this is a choice that he does not have any influence over. That is why Sam simply put it down to a case of her fans looking out for her.
His following comments confirmed as much: “You know, man, in the past there has been a lot of stuff going on, so I understand where they’re coming from. If anything, they’re just being good fans.”
The fans on social media questioned what Sam had to say. A certain subset of people made it clear that his actions were not helping to make Britney come across in a better way. One person wrote: “I don’t believe him! He’s the one taking the pictures.”
