So far, Anna Duggar has been the model IBLP wife and ‘helpmeet’ and stood by her man, Josh Duggar, even in the face of the horrific child pornography conviction. In their faith, it is seen as a sin for a woman not to be under the ‘umbrella of protection’ of either her husband or father and it would seem that Anna is still fully embracing that line of logic. But now, according to a source close to the family it seems that slowly Anna is starting to realize that her life with Josh may not be ‘attainable’.
This is the first holiday season that Josh Duggar will have spent in prison, and it’s taken Anna this long (the trial happened quite a few months ago) to realize that her life with a man who got 12 years in prison may not be attainable.
Has Anna Duggar finally come to grips with Josh Duggar’s guilty verdict?
To top things off, it would seem that she and Josh’s sisters are at odds as well. You would think that they would be pretty tight, all things considered, but nope, Anna, because they testified against their brother, thinks that they are the enemy.
As a result, Anna really doesn’t get invited to as many Duggar family get-togethers as she once did. In fact in the single photo that was posted to the Duggar’s social media this past Thanksgiving,Anna was nowhere to be seen. She wasn’t at Joy Anna’s gender reveal party, and apparently is considering moving to Texas where some of her family members live. Realistically though, would Anna actually leave Josh? At first glance it doesn’t look like it.
The tenants of her faith dictate that an unmarried woman is out from under the umbrella of protection of her husband or father, and is therefore out from the umbrella of protection of God, since they view it as God first, and then as He protects the husband, He protects the rest of the family.
But with Josh’s appeals getting struck down, it looks like Anna may have to face the music sooner rather than later that she will have to live life without Josh. Considering Josh’s family is the reason why she and her family have been able to live the way they have… is it really wise to make his sisters out to be the enemy? Logic says no, but we’ll see how this plays out. Stay tuned!!!
