On Tuesday, 6th December 2022, the ex-commander-in-chief Donald Trump opened the doors of his Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida to a supporter of QAnon and Pizzagate.
Donald Trump Hosts An Event With Pizzagate And QAnon Believer Elizabeth M. Crokin
Elizabeth M. Crokin participated in an America Futures-organised soiree, whose purpose was to collect money to help combat the trafficking of children. Mike Flynn, who briefly served as Trump’s national security adviser, presided over the conservative organisation.
Trafficking of minors is fundamental to QAnon and the Pizzagate claim, which purports that a pizza place in the nation’s capital was the hub of a child exploitation network run by the Democrats. And once the dust had settled down, Liz had nothing but good words to say about the event.
In her comments, she said: “Tonight I had the privilege and honor to speak at America’s Future fundraiser to combat child trafficking at Mar-A-Lago. Some of the topics I discussed were Pizzagate, Balenciaga and what President Trump’s administration did to combat human trafficking.”
And yet, former President Trump has not come across in a positive manner when it comes to the events that he hosts. He was heavily criticised for having a meal with rapper Kanye West, who has been reprimanded for making alleged anti-Semitic remarks, and Nick Fuentes, who allegedly denied the Holocaust.
When Trump declared his intention to run for office in 2024, it instantly led to queries about the screening process for getting into the Mar-a-Lago, and these doubts will only intensify further. The response on social media was very clear.
A certain subset of people were of the view that Trump was risking putting his 2024 run in jeopardy by aligning himself with a plethora of groups. And in the process of doing so, they felt this could backfire.
One person wrote: “TRUMP is totally losing his bid for Presidency. He’s aligned himself with the most radical.” Time will tell whether this does have any further impact on Trump.
