Tom Brady has no regrets about coming out to retirement to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Tom Brady Has No Regrets About Coming Out Of Retirement
Brady’s team has not had the best of starts, as the Buccaneers have already lost five games. Not only that, but Brady’s personal life has also changed immensely. He has gotten divorced from Gisele Bündchen, with suggestions that she was not happy with his decision to continue playing in the NFL.
This was allegedly on the basis that she wanted him to spend more time with the children. But for all the adversity coming his way, Brady had no regrets about continuing to play.
In his comments, he said: “Zero, no [regrets]. Definitely not. I don’t really regret those types of things — I think when I commit to it, I mean it, and I do my best and try to give everything I can to this particular opportunity.”
With that being said, Brady continued to remain optimistic that his team would be able to turn things around. This is the very least that he can expect to say, as anything else would cast doubts over his own motivation.
This is particularly since Brady admitted that a significant reason as to why he came out of retirement was because he was asked to do so. And that ultimately demonstrated the camaraderie that he had with his teammates.
He stated: “I returned because I felt like I wanted to compete, and I spoke to the team about it, and they were excited to have me back…I think the frustrating part is we just haven’t played to the way we’re capable of playing.”
The fans on social media were very critical towards Brady. A certain subset felt that he failed to demonstrate the same type of commitment he had for the NFL when it came to his marriage.
One person wrote: “Unfortunately the same didn’t seem to be true for his marriage.” As long as Tom is happy, then that is the most important thing. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
